After Hours Care

UHS is open Monday - Friday from 8 am–4 pm (staff on site until 5 pm) If you need care when we’re closed — evenings, weekends, holidays, or breaks — use the guide below to choose the best option.

1. 24/7 Virtual Care with HealthiestYou You have access anytime to a licensed board-certified physician through HealthiestYou . You can connect by video or phone for many non-emergency health concerns, minor illnesses, or medication needs. This service is:
   • Covered at no cost for students on the FSU student health insurance plan.
   • Available by visiting HealthiestYou or calling (855) 870-5858 .
2. Emergencies (Life-Threatening Situations) If you or someone else is having a medical emergency— call 911 immediately or go to the nearest emergency room.
3. Urgent Care for Immediate Needs For health issues that can’t wait until UHS reopens but aren’t emergencies (like fevers that won’t go down, smaller injuries, or infections), consider nearby urgent care centers in Tallahassee. These clinics are often faster and less expensive than an emergency room.
