Kiara Barnes

Kiara Barnes, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and serves as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the Priority Clinic at University Health Services (UHS). Kiara graduated from FSU with her doctorate in nursing practice in 2022 and has been with UHS since 2024. Her main duties include caring for patients who present with acute needs by completing physical exams, diagnosing, and treating illnesses and injuries. Prior to joining the UHS team, Kiara worked in emergency medicine as a nurse practitioner. Her previous nursing experiences include pediatrics, urgent care, orthopedics, and medical surgical nursing. Kiara has also spent time serving as adjunct faculty for local nursing programs. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her family, trying new restaurants, and shopping. Kiara is honored to be back at FSU, working to promote and improve the overall health and well-being of FSU students.
