Maria Sanchez

Elena Sanchez RT (R) is a board-certified Radiologic Technologist with seven years of experience.  She earned her Associate of Science degree in Radiography from Tallahassee Community College in 2019. She has been with University Health Services for five years. Working at UHS, she works alongside fellow Radiologic Technologists to create a team that works together to achieve high quality patient outcomes for students.

At UHS, she performs in-house diagnostic X-rays, routine EKGs, and Spirometry exams. Furthermore, she helps patients with scheduling advanced imaging procedures including breast ultrasounds and mammograms, CT, MRI, DEXA, HIDA scans and Echocardiograms to outside facilities. She also assists with imaging insurance authorizations to ensure seamless patient care across healthcare facilities.

Elena and the Diagnostic Imaging team also work closely along with FSU athletics, our Athletic Liaison and the Sports Medicine physicians to coordinate scheduling and perform X-rays for any sports related injuries or concerns to help ensure prompt diagnosis and treatment for student athletes.
